Runners from the boy’s track team will be competing in the 400 and 800-meter relays at the UIL Track and Field State Championship Thursday, May 12 evening at the Mike A. Meyers Stadium in Austin.

“Lots of good participation; you saw here tonight how many folks were (were honored). The kids are doing a lot of great things for Yoakum ISD,” said Kelley. “That’s what makes it fun. We’re very proud of them and they couldn’t do it without excellent teachers and excellent coaches.”
