Yoakum FFA Shotgun members

Yoakum FFA Shotgun members participated in the 2024 State Ag Clays Competition June 2-4. Sixth grader Brylon Brewer, 7th graders Ruger Chumchal, and Wyatt James along with 8th grader Gunnar Frank competed with 285 other students across the state.

This year, they shot Trap Doubles, Sporting Clays, Super Sporting Clays, and American Trap.

Results include Trap Doubles: Gunnar, 1st, 80/100; Wyatt, 5th, 77/100; Ruger, 22nd, 56/100; and Brylon, 25th, 54/100; Sporting Clays: Wyatt tied for 2nd, 94/100; Gunnar, 4th, 90/100; Brylon tied for 27th, 71/100; and Ruger tied for 31st, 66/100; Super Sporting: Gunnar, tied for 5th, 91/100; Wyatt tied for 10th, 88/100; Ruger tied 21st, 79/100; and Brylon tied 23rd, 67/100; Trap: Wyatt, 3rd, 90/100; Gunnar tied 4th, 88/100; Ruger tied for 23rd, 68/100; and Brylon 33rd, 59/100; Gunnar and Wyatt tied for 2nd in HOA; Ruger was 22nd in HOA; and Brylon was 24th in HOA; Trap Team: 19th out of 26; Sporting Clays Team tied for 15th out of 24; Super Sporting Team: 13th out of 16; and Doubles Trap: 10th out of 13.
