Friends of the NRA support local shooting education
Friends of the National Rifle Association (NRA) recently presented donations to both the Lavaca County 4-H and the Hallettsville FFA organizations.
“The primary goal for Friends of the NRA is to support shooting education,” Lavaca County extension agent Shannon Deforest said. “One of the ways they accomplish their goal is by raising funds to support shooting activities.”
This year the Friends of the NRA presented the Lavaca County 4-H with a donation of $3,374.38, while the Hallettsville FFA received funds amounting to $2,759.90.
“Now, more than ever, is the time to educate youth on the responsibilities associated with safely handling firearms,” Deforest said. Both organizations (Lavaca County 4-H and Hallettsville FFA) say a big thank you to the Friends of the NRA."
