St. Paul baseball: Cards defeat Conroe Covenant Christian 7-1
The Cardinals opened the area round with Conroe Covenant Christian with two runs in the first inning, then outscored Covenant Christian 3-1 in the sixth and 2-0 in the seventh for a 7-1 win Saturday in Conroe.
Jackson Ulcak limited the Cougars to a run on three hits and struck out eight batters. He led at the plate with two hits, double and two RBI; Fisher Davis was 1-for-3 with two runs.
Nate Boedeker had three putouts in the field.
