St. Paul boys basketball: Cardinals pick up win at Bloomington Tournament
The Cardinals faced the competition in the Bloomington Tournament, going 1-3 with a win over Taft, and losses to Hallettsville, Victoria Cobras and Bloomington.

Joseph Twyford and Trent Brown combined for 25 points to lead the Cardinals to a 41-38 win over Taft. St. Paul led 13-10 after the opening quarter and were ahead 27-21 at halftime.
The Cardinals went on a 9-4 run in the third quarter and Taft tried to comeback with a 13-5 run in the fourth period.

The Brahmas used a 21-10 run in the second frame to down St. Paul 52-38. Hallettsvile led 8-3 after the first quarter and 29-13 at intermission; St. Paul outscored Hallettsville 12-8 in the third quarter and the Brahmas came back with 15 of 28 points in the fourth quarter. Twyford sank 22 points to lead the Cardinals.
