St. Paul football:First-half flurry of points gets SP past Dallas CHE

Going on the ground and through the air, the St. Paul Cardinals put up 48-first half points to get a 48-30 win over Dallas Christian Home Education homeschool team Saturday afternoon in Temple.
St. Paul outscored CHE 21-0 in the first quarter and 27-16 in the second box for a 48-16 halftime lead.
CHE outscored the Cards 14-0 in the fourth quarter.
The Cardinals rushed 30 times for 309 yards and averaged 10.3 yards per carry
St. Paul attempted 10 passes against Dallas CHE, seven more than against TMI. Zeke Rodriguez hit 6-of-10 passes for 127 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
Zane Barta ran the ball three times for 107 yards and two touchdowns; Blaine Humes had 77 yards on seven carries and one touchdown; Nate Boedeker had two carries for 37 yards and one touchdown. Rodriguez ran twice for 23 yards; Holden Jacobs had five carries for 19 yards, Jacob Arriola ran five times for 21 yards and Andy Nunez had six carries for 25 yards.
Jack Ehrig had three catches for 51 yards and two touchdowns; Charlie Pilat had two receptions for 46 yards and one score while Boedeker had a 27-yard catch.
Nathan Timmons connected six of seven point-afters.
St. Paul lost one fumble and recovered one fumble.
Barta had rushing touchdowns of 75 and 19 yards; Ehrig had touchdown catches of 27 and 17 yards; Pilat had a 26-yard touchdown catch; Boedeker had a 35-yard touchdown run and Humes contributed a 34-yard run.
