St. Paul golf: Lady Cardinals take second at state; boys come in at sixth
The St. Paul golf team was in action at the TAPPS state meet April 14-15 at Glen Rose’s Squaw Valley Apache Links Course.
Girls
The Lady Cardinals placed second in 2A with a score of 744, carding a 382 on day one and 362 on the second day.
Faith Brown led St. Paul by tying for ninth overall with 93 and 89 for 181, and was chosen for the All-State Team.
Riley Mozisek placed No. 11 with 93-89-182. Audrey Thibodeaux shot a 92 on both days for 184 and No. 12.
Skylar Mozisek had a 103 and improved to 94 for 197 for No. 17.
Reese Seibert scored a 104 and a 98 for a 2020 total for No. 22.
Boys
The Cardinals earned sixth place with a team score of 744, 368 on the first day and 376 on the second day.
Clay Watkins led St. Paul with a 166 (82, 84) for No. 11.
Jackson Seibert carded 90-86-176 for No. 21.
Levi Morkovsky placed No. 29 with 93-90-183.
Michae DeSarro got No. 45 with 103-116-219 and Rylan Jalfuka got No. 48 with 117-116-233.
