St. Paul softball: Lady Cardinals pick up two non-district victories

The Lady Cardinals softball team defeated Pettus away and IDEA South Flores at home in a pair of non-district games last week.

Tori Walker went 4-for-4, scored two runs, had a triple and a double, and three RBI to lead St. Paul to a 17-1 win at Pettus on March 19.
The Lady Cardinals blew open a 5-1 game in the top of the fourth with eights runs and outscored Pettus 4-0 in the fourth frame.
St. Paul led 2-1 after one inning and 4-1 after two frames.
Presley Tuch had three hits, double, two runs scored and three RBI.
Tatum Walker pitched two innings with one run on two hits and three strikeouts; Tuch worked two squares with two hits, walk and two strikeouts.
Mariah Jackson made five putouts on defense.

Tatum Walker gave up a single run on seven hits with no walks while striking out 14 batters in a 6-1 win over IDEA South Flores Saturday at the Starplex.
St. Paul scored one run in the first through the fourth frames without yielding a run before takinga 6-0 lead after five innings.
South Flores  IDEA ended the shutout with a single run in the sixth inning.
Tori Walker led at the plate by going 2-for-2 with a double and RBI while Emily Moeller had a double and RBI.
Jackson had five putouts in the defensive effort.
