Yoakum cross country: Cross country has good meet in Industrial

The Yoakum cross-country teams ran in the Industrial meet on Saturday with two Gold team medals and a total of four top-three team finishes.
Varsity Girls
The Lady Bulldogs scored 116 points to place third at the meet.
Gracei Martinez led Yoakum with seventh place in 14 minutes, 38 seconds. Angela Flores was No. 12 in 14:49; Ximena Miller placed No. 27 in 15:36 and following was Samantha Adamek in 15:39. Emily Sanchez was No. 42 in 16:17 and behind her was Emmie Leftwich in 16:18. Abbie Galvan was No. 46 in 16:41
Varsity Boys
Yoakum scored 89 points to win Gold in the boys race.
Aiden Alvarez came in fourth with 17:41 and was followed by Clayton Hlavac in 18:04. Martin Perez was No. 23 in 19:10; Luis Avalos finished in 19:16 for No. 26; Trevor Moreno placed No. 31 in 19:36
JV Girls
Dulce Lara was sixth in 16:42 and following was Aubreee Hussey in 17:11; Daphne Oviedo was No. 12 in 17:48
JV Boys
Yoakum got third place with 78 points.
Jesus Rivas was No. 10 in 22:06 and following was Moises Morales in 22:11. Brayden Neubauer earned No. 13 with 22:43; Ian Pilat was No. 15 with 22:47; Nathan Vo was No. 29 in 27:05.
JH Girls
Amaiah Theile was sixth in 16:19 and following was Josephine Pilat in 16:23. Kaitlyn Lopez was No. 37 in 21:21;
JH Boys
Yoakum scored 28 points to win the junior high boys race.
Adrian Blakeney was first with 13:40, followed by Dominic Novak in 13:49 and Lukas Gonzalez in 13:53. Benito Olmeda was seventh in 14:24; Julian Espinoza was No. 15 in 15:08
