Yoakum cross country: Lady 'Dogs place fourth at home meet
The Yoakum cross-country teams ran at the Yoakum Invitational to kick off the season.
Varsity Girls
The Lady Bulldogs recorded 105 points to take fourth place.
Gracei Martinez led Yoakum with a No. 11 finish in 10 minutes, 2.43 seconds. Angela Flores was No. 16 in 10:08.98, followed by Ximena Miller in 10:09.72. Emmie Leftwich finished in 10:32.31 for No. 30; Emily Sanchez was No. 45 in 10:50. Abbie Galvan was No. 64 in 11:26.2.
Varsity Boys
The Bulldogs got fifth place with 153 points.
Clayton Hlavac was No. 13 in 13:15.99 and following was Aiden Alvarez in 13:17.06. Martin Perez was No. 37 in 14:30.03; Trevor Moreno was done in 14:32.37 for No. 41. Luis Avalos finished in No. 57 with 15:20.96.
JV Girls
Aubree Hussey was fifth in 11:06.04; Dulce Maria Lara was No. 17 in 11:37.04.
JV Boys
The ‘Dogs junior varsity scored 105 points for fourth place.
