Yoakum cross country:Lady ‘Dogs come in third

The Yoakum cross-country team started the season with a home meet on Saturday.
The varsity girls were the highlights with a third-place finish

The Lady Bulldogs recorded 92 points to win the team Bronze.
Gisela Martinez led Yoakum with fifth place in 9 minutes, 58 seconds.
Samantha Adamek was No. 21 in 10:36; Sierra Rivera finished in 10:47 for No. 24.
Cameron Williams placed No. 26 in 10:51.8; Emily Sanchez crossed the line at 10:55 for No. 29. Abbie Galvan was No. 63 in 12:03.9.
Varsity Boys
Clayton Hlavac was the ‘Dogs top finisher with No. 26 in 14:32.61. Rafael Castillo was No. 36 in 15:11.86; Jesus Rivas finished in 15:28.67 for No. 40.
JV Girls
Daphne Ovideo was No. 10 in 11:40.78. Rubi Martinez was No. 14 in 12:12.78; Sienna Rivera was No. 17 with 12:31.73; Mia Quintanilla was timed at 13:26.22 for No. 25.
JV Boys
Aiden Alvarez was fifth with 15:05.8 and following was Brenten Jacob in 15:11.05. Neubaur Braydon was No. 32 in 19:29.67; Daniel Martinez was No. 37 in 23:24.34.

Logan Jacob was No. 30 in 11:54.
