Two perish in Hwy. 77 crash

A two-vehicle collision Thursday evening, resulted in both drivers losing their lives in the accident.According to a report from Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Sgt. Ruben San Miguel, the fatal crash occurred at approximately 7:34 p.m. on Highway 77, north of Lavaca County Road 240.

One Fatality in Saturday Night Crash South of Shiner

Emergency crews responded to a major two-vehicle crash Saturday on State Highway 95 south of Shiner that caused one fatality.According to a social media post from the Lavaca County Sheriff ’s Office, the crash occurred about three miles south of Shiner near the 2400 block of SH 95.

A two vehicle accident in front of Hoffer’s Drive In on Monday morning sent two individuals to the hospital with minor injuries.According to a report from the Hallettsville Police Department, the accident took place around 7:55 a.m. on Monday in the 100 block of W. Fairwinds.

Lone plane crash survivor returns to Yoakum

Sixteen months ago, the Yoakum community experienced a rare event: A small plane carrying five men from Tennessee crash landed in a field outside of town near FM 318.Four men died, sadly, but the lone survivor was able to crawl from the wreckage and call for help.
