     Staff WriterSeveral years ago, I received a complimentary copy of a new book, Raw Frontier (Volume Two), written by Keith Guthrie. His book is sort of an assortment of historical facts about the area that made up Green DeWitt's Colony during the birth of Texas.

A small group of Hallettsville Independent School District voters attended last Wednesday evening’s (Oct. 2) town hall meeting regarding the bond proposed by the district concerning the construction of a new gymnasium/multi-purpose facility.
