Annabeth Neumeyer is the daughter of the late Gene and Frances Valenta.  She has been married to Charlie Neumeyer for over 50 years.  She is the mom to three wonderful children and Grammy to four loving grandchildren.  Her hobbies are baking, traveling, fishing, and being with her grandkiddos.

Historians host annual conference Oct. 14

The Alton C. Allen Historical Conference will celebrate a milestone anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 14, when members of the Lavaca County Historical Commission fill the Kocian Building on the south side of the courthouse square in Hallettsville for their 20th annual gathering.

Kolache Fest set for Sept. 30

The 28th annual Kolache Fest is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hallettsville. Activities will begin on Friday evening, Sept. 29 with 42 Domino warm-up games being played at the hall beginning at 6:15 p.m.
