Flatonia man facing murder charge

A request for police to conduct an afternoon welfare check at a house in the 500-block of Hackberry Street in Flatonia, ended with the arrest of a 42-year-old Flatonia man on Monday, Aug. 28, ona charge of murder.

MISD approves $1.05345 tax rate for 2022

Despite substantially higher costs for just about everything the local district needs to operate day-to-day, board members voted Monday to lower the school tax rate once again, well beyond the numbers state lawmakers deemed mandatory back with the 2019 restructuring of school finance.

City updates noise, junked car ordinances
