County to implement $50 defendant fee for CrimeStoppers

Holding its regular meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 13, the Lavaca County Commissioners’ Court approved the implementation of a $50 crime stoppers fee to be collected from defendants in Lavaca County Court and is permitted by the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The fee will provide a revenue to the Lavaca Crime Stoppers organization.
