The Lavaca County Retired School Personnel (LCRSP) were recently awarded the 2026 Friend of Conservation award by the Lavaca Soil and Water Conservation District 334 (LSWCD).
At Monday’s Lavaca County Commissioner’s Court meeting, Wyatt Kaspar was recognized with the Junior Life Saver Award for the actions he took in contacting the EMS during a medical emergency occurring at his home. 47-Year old Woman killed in Highway 90-A crash

A two-vehicle crash involving a SUV and a semi-truck on U.S. Highway 90-A, four miles west of Hallettsville last Friday, resulted in a fatality.According to Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Ruben San Miguel, troopers responded to the crash at around 6:57 a.m.
