Monday morning accident in front of Hoffer’s Drive In

A two vehicle accident in front of Hoffer’s Drive In on Monday morning sent two individuals to the hospital with minor injuries.According to a report from the Hallettsville Police Department, the accident took place around 7:55 a.m. on Monday in the 100 block of W. Fairwinds.

Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

A traffic stop early Monday morning resulted in the driver arrested for the possession of drugs as well as an unlawful carrying of a weapon.According to a Hallettsville Police Department Facebook post, the a HPD officer conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Fairwinds St. around 1:31 a.m.

Hallettsville High School will hold its 2025 Commencement Exercises Friday, May 23 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Hallettsville Brahmas Memorial Stadium.In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the HHS Gymnasium.

Shiner OAP places 7th at State

Shiner OAP finished 7th place out of a possible 233 schools in Class 2A. “Considering we had 12 new Thespians join our group and only two of the 19 had ever been on stage for UIL OAP competition, this year has been an amazing run.

The 39th Annual Shiner Catholic Church Spring Picnic is this Sunday, May 25 at the Knights of Columbus Park.The event will kick off at 8 a.m. with a country store selling canned and baked goods as well as kolaches and pigs-in-the-blanket.

The Shiner High School Class of 2025 will graduate Friday, May 23 at Comanche Stadium.Callie Chrismon has been named Shiner High School Class of 2025 Valedictorian.  Callie Chrismon is the daughter of Cody and Jennie Chrismon.  She has attended Shiner ISD since Pre-K.
