Shiner Catholic School honors Veteran with diploma

After 60 years, a Shiner veteran has received his high school diploma on Veterans Day.Vietnam veteran Klaus David Schlamb was awarded his diploma at Shiner Catholic School, which he attended years ago.

Benefit for local woman scheduled

Members of the community are hosting a benefit for a local woman, Ann Koncaba, who was injured in a car accident recently. The bake sale will benefit Koncaba. It will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at the South Star Bank. All proceeds will go toward Koncaba and her family.

MISD School Board President to step down

School Board President Daniel Beyer has chosen to step down from his role at the Moulton Independent School District meeting on Nov. 13. “I’ve served on this board for almost 19 years,” Beyer said in a statement after the meeting. “Many of those years, I have served as the president.

Local student wins Overall Reserve Grand Champion

A local Moulton native, Bailey Petrek, has won the Reserve Grand Champion overall of the bred and owned Red Brahman Bulls at the World Brahman Congress. This was a breed show, and it was all Brahman cattle participating in the congress.
