Benjamin Julius Gaidusek, age 81, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024.He was born July 6, 1943 in Hallettsville to Julius and Matilda Vasek Gaidusek.He was a machinist for over 40 years at Anderson and Greenwood in Houston.

Elizabeth Ann Joy Peters, 81, of Hallettsville, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024, after a lengthy hospital stay in Austin.  Her two children, Libbie and Gary were at her side when the Good Lord called her to a better place.  She was born to Omer and Opal Joy on Feb.

Tracey Elizabeth Vogel, 56, passed away on Wednesday Aug. 28, 2024 in Sheridan.  She was born on Feb. 27, 1968, to George and Carol Parker who preceded her in death.  She was an artistic, creative soul who spent much of her time creating beautiful works of art for her friends and family.

Barney “Bag” Leroy Barfield , 99, of Sweet Home, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.  He was born on September 29, 1924 in Yorktown to the late Mabin and Lottie (Davis) Barfield.  He was one month short of his 100th birthday.

Frank Bernard Bludau Sr., of Hallettsville, passed away at the age of 96 on Aug. 22, 2024.He was born on Oct. 12, 1927, in Hallettsville.  He was the fourth child in a family of 11 to Andres and Annie Friesenhahn Bludau.He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and VFW.
