John Herald Kloppenburg, 72, of Sublime, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023 at his home.  He was born in Lavaca County on Sept. 8, 1950. John enjoyed watching Gunsmoke and hunting and fishing.   He was the son of  the late John and Lucy Kloppenburg.

Seth Mooring Young, 91, of Houston, went home to be with Jesus his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 21, 2023. “Sonny,” as he was called since boyhood by family and friends, was a simple, humble, kind, patient, hard-working man who leaves a wonderful legacy.

Tiffany Pfuhl passed away Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023 at the age of 48, after a brief medical condition.  She was born on April 9, 1975, to Oscar Lee Nagelmueller and Margaret “Larson” Nagelmueller.   She attended Hallettsville High School and graduated in 1993.

Glenn Emil Lahodny, Sr.

Glenn Emil Lahodny, Sr., 72, of Moulton, passed away at home on August 21, 2023 after a courageous private battle with cancer. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 23 at Shiner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.

Attorney at Law, Roman Richard Rainosek passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023, at age 87, in his home in Galveston, surrounded by family, after a recent battle with ailments.  He was born on Nov. 11, 1935 in Hallettsville to Roman F. and Eleanora Klekar Rainosek.

Raydelle Mitchell Anderson, 74, of Hallettsville passed away Tuesday Aug.  8, 2023. Raydelle was born Dec. 25, 1948, in Williamsburg, Lavaca County Texas to Ray and Berline Mitchell. Raydelle graduated from Hallettsville High School in 1967.
