Doris Marie Polasek Roznovsky, 80, of Victoria, formerly of Port Lavaca, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 in Victoria. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 2, immediately followed by reciting of the Rosary at 7 p.m., all at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home in Port Lavaca.

Julius V. Janca

Julius V. Janca, 94, of Hallettsville, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023.  He was born on Feb. 11, 1929, in Lavaca County to Joe Sr. and Pauline (Mozisek) Janca.   On July 24, 1951, he married Geraldine Mertz in Lovington, New Mexico. She passed away Sept. 3, 2018.

David Louis Myers

David Louis Myers (LTC, USAR Ret) passed away peacefully Saturday, June 17, at the age of  82, surrounded by family at home in Vienna.   He was born to David A.

Wilfred "Willie" Schoenfeld

Wilfred “Willie” Schoenfeld, 87, of Yoakum, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Visitation began at 1 p.m. Friday, June 16 with funeral service at 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with Pastor Alsen Wenzel officiating.

Marvin Jasek Jr.

Marvin Jasek Jr., 66, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.   He was born on April 3, 1957 in Shiner, to Marvin JasekSr. and Elsie Otahal Jasek. Marvin graduated from Moulton High School in 1975.  He started his career as a chemical plant operator and worked in the field for 42 years.

Jo Ann Zapalac

Jo Ann Zapalac, 79, of Hallettsville, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023.   She was born in Hallettsville on June 20, 1943, to Joseph F. and Annie Satsky Stanzel.   On Nov. 27, 1984, she married William O. Zapalac at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in  Hallettsville.

Rudy Patek

Rudy Patek, 84, joined his Lord and heavenly family on June 7, 2023.  He was born on December 13, 1938, in Shiner, to Charles Patek Sr. and Elizabeth Agnes Veit Patek. Rudy married Beatrice Machalec Patek on June 14, 1959. Bea was the love of his life!

Laura Fayne Phillips Weathers

Laura Fayne Phillips Weathers was born on April 1, 1934, and passed from this world on May 24,  2023.  She was born in Brown County, to Edith Cornett Phillips and Charles (Charlie)  Wayne Phillips.

Evelyn Alexa Technik

Evelyn Alexa Technik, 91, of Moulton, passed away Friday, June 2, 2023.   She was born in the Moulton area on Feb. 14, 1932, to Julius J. and Annie Holub Drozd.    On Nov. 6, 1955,  she married Linhart J. Technik in Moravia.    She was a member of Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Moravia.

John David Perdziak Sr.

John David Perdziak Sr. was born in San Antonio on Nov. 7, 1965. He left this world entirely too soon  at age 57 on May 17, 2003. John graduated from Hallettsville High School in 1984 where he played football, got his nickname “Jeep” and made lifelong friendships.
