Bettye Ann Bujnoch

Bettye Ann Bujnoch,  68, of Hallettsville, completed her work here on earth, Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022.  She was born Feb.  8, 1954, in Hallettsville to Carl and Ira Lee (Fitch) McElroy.  She graduated from Hallettsville High School and attended Sam Houston State University.

Charles Edward Hardilek

Charles Edward Hardilek, 78 of Hallettsville passed away on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022 at his home.   He was born on Feb. 3, 1944 in San Antonio to Charles L. and Alma Hardilek.   On Jan.  14, 1978, he married Dale S. Zoch in Austin and soon returned to his family home in Hallettsville.

Ella Marie Berger

Ella Marie Berger, 85, of Shiner, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022. She was born Jan. 7, 1937 in Hallettsville to Paul and Mathilda Zikhur Kremling. She worked at Kaspar Wire Works.  She graduated from Baldwin Business College. She was a member of Sts.

Donna Pick

Donna Pick of Port Lavaca died Sept. 5 following extended illness. She was born Aug. 15, 1951, in Indianapolis, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois (Sheckles) Sharp and Harrold Sharp, and her husband, Jay Pick. She was 71 years old.

Bill Lopez

Bill Lopez, 90, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022. He was born August 4, 1932 in Edna, Texas to the late Joe and Irene (Dreymala) Lopez. After High School, Bill joined the U.S. Air Force and was sent to Denver, CO. There he met Bonnie Jean Wyatt and married in 1951.

Ernest J. “Ernie” Novosad

Ernest J. “Ernie” Novosad passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2022 at the age of 71.  He was born Sept. 6, 1950 in Shiner, to Ernest and Irene Rothbauer Novosad at the Wagner Hospital in Shiner.

Rose Mraz

Rose Mraz, age 73, passed away Aug. 29. She was born Dec. 23, 1948 in Yoakum to Edmund and Anna Mae Ward Friedel. She was a bookkeeper and a Catholic. She was a devout Christian.

Ervin A. Balusek

Ervin Albert Balusek, Sr., 90, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Thursday, August 25, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 10 at Vsetin Czech Moravian Brethren Church, with Dr. Mark Labaj officiating.

Ralph David Jones

Ralph David Jones of Lake Jackson, was peacefully reunited with his beloved wife, Merle when he passed on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2022 at the age of 85.  Merle and Ralph, Nini and Papa, were high-school sweethearts, married nearly 62 years when Merle passed away in 2019.

Harvey Pohler Jr.

Harvey Lee Pohler, Jr. of Shiner, a loving husband, father, and PeePaw, passed on September 2, 2022, at the age of 75 after a battle with cancer. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, September 7 at Shiner Funeral Home, followed by a rosary at 7 pm.
