Otto Robert Koliba Jr., 69, of Shiner, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025. He was born December 10, 1955 in Yoakum, the only son born to Otto Robert Koliba Sr. and Marie (Malinovsky) Koliba.Otto grew up on the Koliba family homestead where he loved hunting and fishing with his dad.

Leona M. Tesar, 96, of Yoakum, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025.  She was born December 25, 1928 in Yoakum, to John and Frances (Janak) Heidaker.She was a hairdresser for 12 years, and also a dietician with Fort Worth ISD for 15 years.

Dale Dolezal

Dale Thomas Dolezal, 68, of Shiner, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025. He was born June 5, 1957 in Shiner, to the late Jerry and Iris (Adamek) Dolezal. He was a graduate of Shiner High School and spent most of his life working on the family farm.

Mary Jo Veit

Mary Josephine Veit, 87, of Shiner, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025. She was born January 23, 1938, in Shiner to Mike V. and Lillie Wagner Janak. Mary Jo attended Wied Country School until 10th grade then finished high school at St. Ludmila’s Academy, graduating in 1956.

Phillip Lee Sralla, 81, of Shiner, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, May 26, 2025. He was born August 28, 1943, the only child born to the late Lee and Gladys (Wagner) Sralla.He met his beloved Joan Bujnoch at a dance and they were rarely apart since.

Irene Mary Pustka, 77, of  Shiner, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025.She was born August 11, 1947 in Shiner, to John and Annie Hanzelka Vincik. She was a 1965 graduate of St. Paul High School. On August 12, 1967 she married Jerome Pustka and they lived in Houston.

Patrick "Tex" Weitzel Sr.

Patrick “Tex” Weitzel Sr., 81, of Midland, went home to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 24, 2025, following a lengthy health battle.Tex was born on October 13, 1943 in Shiner, to Henry C. Weitzel and Ann Marie Bannert.
