    Shiner beat Smithville in three at home Sept. 1 and played a full match against Orange Grove on Friday to go 2-0 last week.

    The Lady Comanches really served Smithville in a 25-11, 25-14 and 25-13 sweep. Shiner had 27 aces with Savannah Durrett, Addie Prove, Harlee Sevcik and Eastyn Pohler each putting down five each.Kayden Smith had 10 kills; Pohler had 10 assists, Prove had nine digs; Smith and Harper Lenehan each provided two blocks.

    The Lady Comanches outlasted Orange Grove 22-25, 28-26, 24-26, 25-22 and 15-8 Friday in Orange Grove. The Lady Bulldogs led 2-1 after three sets before Shiner won two straight. Several Shiner players had double digit digs with Prove getting 33. Taylor Kocian had 28 assists and Pohler had 17. Smith led in kills with 13, Durrett had five aces and Sevcik added six blocks.
