St. Paul softball: St. Paul blanks Concordia 17-0

The St. Paul softball team took care of business to clear the first playoff hurdle.St. Paul got 10 hits, seven of those extra base hits, and freshman pitcher Tatum Walker pitched a three-inning, no-hit shutout as St. Paul rolled Pflugerville Concordia Lutheran 17-0 Thursday at the Star Plex.

St. Paul track and field: Lady Cards track win regional title, boys come in second place

The St. Paul Lady Cardinals are the TAPPS 2A South regional champions after outscoring Bryan St. Joseph 179-134.The Cardinals finished runner up with 105 points with Waco Providence Classical scoring 154 points.

Shiner softball: Lady Comanches on point in sweep of Stockdale

MARION — Things went pretty close to perfect for Shiner softball team in their bi-district series against Stockdale.Shiner outhit the Lady Brahmas 21-5 and outscored them 36-0 in winning in a sweep, 16-0, 20-0 in Marion Friday evening.“I felt we hit amazingly; our fielding was amazing.

The St. Paul girls and boys golf team competed in the state tournament at Waco’s Cottonwood Creek Golf Course April 15-16.Lady Cardinals get runner upSt. Paul girls carded a 393 and 381 for 774 and second place.

YHS Track and Field Lady Bulldogs and Bulldogs will compete in six events at State Meet

The Yoakum High School (YHS) Lady Bulldogs Track Team scored 60 points and placed third in the region meet Friday and Saturday in Seguin with the boys scoring 52 points to tie for fourth place.Jayana Phillips qualified for state in the 400-meter dash and triple jump.

St. Paul baseball: Flatonia pulls off late rally against SP, 9-7

The Cardinals came in within one inning of getting a win against Flatonia but it was not in the cards.The Bulldogs trailed 6-3 after six innings before scoring six runs in the top of the seventh and holding St. Paul to one run in a 9-7 victory.
