Brahmas eke out victory over Edna, run rule Rice

The Brahmas eked out a victory over Edna and run-ruled Altair Rice Consolidated here Friday afternoon, 11-0, in six innings.In the Rice game, Hudson Chenard gave up a lead off single to Glen Davis in the top of the first inning and that was it.

The St. Paul golf teams competed in the St. Paul Invitational in Gonzales on March 16.GirlsThe St. Paul A team placed first with a score of 373. Riley Mozisek was first medalist with 80; Faith Brown carded an 89 for second medalist.

Shiner boys basketball: Shiner boys all-district awards

The area-round finalist Shiner boys basketball team had three players receive special awards for All-District.Sophomore Jarvis Williams was named Newcomer of the Year.  Freshman Levi Werner received 6th Man of the Year and senior Reese Carson was selected as Defensive MVP.

The 2025-26 TAPPS state semifinalists Lady Cardinals had several players receive post-season awards.All-State TournamentSenior Kristin Cerny and junior Skylar Mozisek were selected to the 2A All-Tournament Team.All-StateCerny and Mozisek both made the All-State  First Team.

WEIMAR— Kalli Kupka hit two home runs, scored three total runs and drove in three runs to lead Shiner to an 11-0 win at Weimar on March 17.
