Brahma Golf Third

VICTORIA - Brahma golfers finished third in the tournament hosted by Sacred Heart at the Victoria County Club Monday, March 9.The Brahmas shot a team total of 347 with Victoria St. Joseph first (308) and Vanderbilt Industrial second (318).

Indianettes defeat Burton

The Indianettes defeated Burton 12-6 here Wednesday, March 11 with the help of seven Lady Panther errors.SH scored a run in every inning.Paelyn Etzler started and worked five innings to earn the win.

Brahmas notch two district victories

It was a good week for Brahma baseball after victories over Yoakum and Edna.Hallettsville avenged its 7-5 loss to Yoakum March 3 with an 11-4 win in Yoakum Tuesday, March 10.

Indians victors in district opening game

The Indians fired the first salvo in an 8-2 victory over St. Paul in a TAPPS Division IV, District 5 game here Tuesday night, March 10.Layne Sevcik again came close to pitching a complete game and came up a few pitches shy in the 6.2 innings he worked.

One record set in Brahma Relays

One record was set in the Annual Brahma Relays Thursday.Columbus sprinter Kaityn Torres broke a 15-year old record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.11 seconds.Tierra Haynes of Hallettsville held the record of 12.54 seconds set in 2022.

SH thinclads in first meet

FALLS CITY – Sacred Heart competed in its first meet of the season Thursday, March 5 at the Beaver Relays.For the Indianettes, Rylan Dworsky was second in the triple jump with a best of 36-1. Kenzie Chance finishes fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.26 seconds.

Youth sports: Sweet Digs 15U posts 4-0 record in Buda tournament

The Sweet Digs 15U volleyball team traveled to Buda on February 28, playing in four games and bringing home the gold in an undefeated outing.
