Moulton softball: Kittens gain lessons in game against St. Paul

SHINER — While the end result was not what they wanted, the Moulton softball team still gained some crucial experience.The Kittens got a chance to see stellar hitting and practice their defense in a away game March 12 at the Shiner Starplex against St. Paul.

Hallettsville Little League 2024 Opening Ceremony

The Hallettsville Little League will hold its opening day ceremonies beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday and will mark the start of the 2024 baseball/softball season. First pitch this year will be thrown by Rylee Trlicek.

Brahma relays

The Hallettsville Brahma Relays will be run Thursday beginning with the field events at 3:15.The running events will begin at 5:45Teams in the meet are Hallettsville, Edna, Shiner, Cuero, Palacios, Rice Consolidated and Seguin Lifegate Christian.

Indians win St. Paul Tournament

The Sacred Heart Indians won first place in the St. Paul Tournament held at Independence Park Golf Course in Gonzales Monday, March 11.The Indians shot a team total of 344 and were led by fifth medalist James Cesarz’s 82.

Sacred Heart Booster Club Results

The Sacred Hearty Booster Club Golf Tournament was held at Hallettsville Municipal Golf Course Monday.The Hallettsville Brahmas won first place with a team total of 338 and were led by second place medalist Brady Copley’s 39-41-80.

Brahmas rally to defeat Edna, 4-2

The Hallettsville Brahmas had gone 10 innings without scoring a run prior to the bottom of the sixth inning with their District 25-AAA game with Edna here Friday.The Brahmas exploded for four runs in the sixth to eke out a 4-2 victory.

Lady Brahmas rout Edna, Yoakum

The Hallettsville Lady Brahmas continued their run through District 25- AAA with two more victories last week.Run-rule games were prevalent for the Lady Brahmas in the victories over Yoakum (22-3) and Edna (10-0) last week.

St. Paul golf: St. Paul golf second at home tournament

Both St. Paul golf teams placed runner up in their tournament last week in Gonzales.GirlsThe St. Paul girls golf team came in second at their tournament at Gonzales Golf Course on March 12.The Lady Cardinals scored a 423 as a team and were led by Riley Mozisek who carded a 98 for fourth medalist.
