Late in the game against Faith Academy, St. Paul had a firm grasp with a 17-point lead.
However, the Cougars were able to take advantage of some miscues and close the gap a little before eventually falling 43-30 Dec. 5 at St. Paul High. School.

MOULTON — The Shiner Comanches went 3-1 in the Moulton Tournament and finished second.
Carson Schuette and Jake Simper were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Moulton girls basketball: Sophia Vasquez leads junior high girls to win at Pettus

Sophia Vasquez scored 10 points in the Moulton junior high Kitten’s 34-16 win at Pettus on Monday.
Moulton led 14-2 after the first quarter and was ahead 16-7 at halftime.
The Kittens netted 10 of 15 points in the third box and outscored Pettus 8-4 in the fourth frame.

Moulton boys basketball: Katz win Katz Klassic Tournament

The Moulton Bobkatz performed well for the home crowd with a 3-1 record and first place in the Katz Klassic Tournament. Moulton and the Shiner Comanches each went 3-1 but Moulton won via head-to-head when they defeated Shiner on Saturday.

Audrey Swinford swished 13 points as Moulton brought down 4A Bellville 42-21 Dec. 5 at home.
The Kittens led barley by one point, 6-5, at the end of the first quarter and outscored the Lady Brahmas 13-5 in the second for a 19-10 halftime lead.

Lady Bulldogs take bronze at Marion Tournament

The Lady Bulldogs Varsity Basketball Team won four of five games last week in the Marion Tournament and placed third. Olivia Fojt was named to the AllTournament Team.

The Lady Bulldogs posted a 14-4 run in the fourth quarter, rallying to beat Blanco in the first game 39-33.
