SCHULENBURG – The Hallettsville Lady Brahmas defeated East Bernard, 66-50, to win third place in the Schulenburg Tournament Saturday. The Lady Brahmas (13- 2) led 34-24 at the half and stretched the margin to 49-33 after three quarters.

CARMINE — The St. Paul Cardinals split two games at the Round Top-Carmine on Friday. Weimar 42, St. Paul 18 The Cardinals had a tough opening to the tournament as they were bested by Weimar 42-18 on Friday morning. The Wildcats were led by 19 points from Kloesel and another 13 points by Fisher. St.

Shiner girls basketball: Lady Comanches win second at KC tourney

The Lady Comanches won three and lost one at the Karnes City Tournament last week to place runner up. LV 57, Shiner 48 Morgan Lenehan scored 13 points and Rylee Vancura had 11 points as Shiner faced La Vernia in the Lady Comanches’ first tournament game, falling 57-48.

St. Paul girls basketball: St. Paul varsity girls go 1-3 in Fayetteville

The St. Paul varsity girls went 1-3 in the Fayetteville Tournament last week. Fayetteville 47, SP 32 St. Paul came up short to Fayetteville 47-32 to start the tournament. Dallyn Pesek led in scoring with nine points and Brooke Cerny added eight points.

Shiner, St. Paul girls basketball: Lady Comanches bring energy in win over St. Paul

The Shiner Lady Comanches brought plenty of passion to a game against their cross-town cousins, St. Paul. A total of five Lady Comanches scored in double digits, led by 16 points from Addy Siegel, in a 67-23 win for Shiner. Callie Sevcik had a double double with 12 assists and 10 points.

Silas Robinson wins Southland Football Conference award

Yoakum High School 2018 graduate and University of Incarnate Word football graduate student Silas Robinson was one of 12 Cardinal players that received Southland Football All Conference awards. He was named to the First Team All-Conference Offense Offensive Line.
