VANDERBILT – The Brahmas ended the regular season with a 3-2 victory over Vanderbilt Industrial Wednesday, April 22.The game was called after five innings because of rain.Weston Loudon pitched all five innings and gave up two unearned runs, two hits, did not allow a walk and struck out four.

Indianettes fourth at state tournament

WACO – The Indianettes finished fourth at the TAPPS 2A state golf tournament shortened by weather to 27 holes.The tournament was held at Cottonwood Creek Country Club Monday and Tuesday, April 20-21.The Indianettes shot a 27-hole of 6-5, two strokes behind San Jacinto Academy. St.

Brahmas 10th after first day

AUSTIN – Brahma golf was in 10th place after the first round of the UIL State Golf Tournament held at Jimmy Clay Golf Course Monday.The Brahmas shot a team total of 334.Defending state champion Wall carded a 304, Gunter was second (307) and Cameron Yoe third (311).

Etzler, Beach lead Indianettes to warm-up game victory

The Indianettes prepped for the playoffs with a 6-0 victory over Corpus Christi Incarnate Word Academy here on Little League Field No. 4 Friday.Paelyn Etzler and Avery Beach combined for a four-hitter.Etzler worked the first five innings and ceded one hit, walked one and fanned six.

Goliad edges LB 4-3

YOAKUM – The Lady Brahmas’ season ended with a Class 3A 4-3 bi-district loss to Goliad Friday night.Four-year starter Grace Halata pitched her final game as a Lady Brahma and deserved a better fate.The Lady Brahmas out-hit the Tigerettes 5-4, but a couple of errors led to their demise.

Shiner baseball: Comanches come off unscheduled break to beat FHS 8-1

The Shiner Comanches had not played baseball since after beating Ganado on the road April 14 and then having the district closer rescheduled three times due to weather.

St. Paul baseball: Cardinals hold off Bellville Faith in 5-4 bi-district win

FAYETTEVILLE — Plating three runs in the top of the sixth ultimately saw St. Paul squeak by Bellville Faith Academy 5-4 in the bi-district game Saturday in Fayetteville.

Shiner softball: LCs defeat Agua Dulce 11-0, 17-0 in bi-district round

KARNES CITY — The Shiner Comanches got past the first hurdle to Austin as they swept Agua Dulce Lady Longhorns 11-0 and 17-0 Thursday evening at Karnes City High School.In the series, Shiner produced 28 runs and about 29 hits while giving up no runs and just three hits to the Lady ‘Horns.
