Tribe dealt back to back losses

The Sacred Heart Indians were handed back-toback TAPPS District 5 Division IV losses last week, the latest a 61-59 verdict Friday at Victoria Faith Academy.The Indians defeated the Cougars 59-48 here Jan. 17.Faith Academy won despite a 26-point, 14-rebound performance by Andrew Steffek.

Brahmas defeat Tigers in OT

The Hallettsville Brahmas ended a four-game losing streak with a 44-42 overtime victory over Tidehaven in a District 25-AAA here Tuesday, Jan. 30.The Brahmas outscored the Tigers 4-2 in the OT period.The Brahmas had a 17-9 lead after the first period and led 29-25 lead at the intermission.

LB playoff Hopes put on hold

'Nettes pick up two District wins

The Sacred Heart Indianettes defeated two TAPPS District 5 Division IV opponents last week to set up the showdown with St. Paul which was played Tuesday night.SH downed Bulverde Bracken Christian School 41-29 here Tuesday, Jan. 30.

Shiner boys basketball: Shiner defeats Ganado, edged by WHS

WEIMAR —  The Shiner Comanches were about three or four minutes or so from pulling off the sweep against Weimar.The Comanches had the lead on the scoreboard for the  majority of the game and led by six entering the final quarter.

Shiner girls basketball: LC rally to beat Weimar; Lenehan reaches 1500 points

WEIMAR — Late in the third quarter and trailing by nine against Weimar,  the Shiner girls made some changes to tactics and focus. It paid dividends as the Lady Comanches scored 21 straight points in a run that went into the the final quarter for a 48-38 win Jan.
