Council fails to pass pro-life ordinance

The Hallettsville City Council discussed approving a resolution declaring the city a Safe Haven City for the Unborn, however they took no action on this at the Oct. 20 meeting.
The resolution cites provisions of Texas law that the council interprets as allowing municipalities to prohibit abortion and establish penalties for those who perform or enable unlawful abortions.
