Frankie "Butch" Raindl

Frankie Joseph “Butch” Raindl, 79, of Shiner, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026.
He was born September 5, 1946 in Levelland, Texas to Frank and Esther Seidenberger Raindl.
His working career spanned stints at Purina Mills, K. Spoetzl Brewery, road construction, custom hay bailing, and in the oilfield. Later in his career, he opened B & B Bait and Tackle, and then later retired from Frank’s Bar-B-Que, which he operated proudly serving Shiner delicious Bar-B-Que and tasty sides for 12 years.
He was known for his famous chopped brisket stuffed baked potatoes. He could cook everything from Bar-B-Que to picnic stew and no one ever went hungry.
He was also known for canning pickles and sauerkraut, which were often copied but never duplicated. He made homemade wine and shared it with his family and friends.
He had a passion for hunting deer and turkey and just being at deer camp with the guys. Anything he could do outdoors made him his happiest. He enjoyed saltwater and freshwater fishing of any kind with his sons and grandsons.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 41 years, Beverly Balusek Raindl; sons, Michael Raindl (Laura) and Tim Raindl (Belinda); grandchildren, Amber, Avery, Peyton and Cooper; and sister, Patricia Heins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ellen Dvorak; brothers-in-law, Joe Heins and Jack Dvorak; his fur baby of 16 years, Toby, who never missed taking a ride on the mule or in his truck.
