Karen Boone

Karen Ann Boone, 70, of Shiner, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026.
She was born on November 29, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio to Richard and Julia Ball Spaeth.
She was a school teacher for 37 years and a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed teaching the youth and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Boone; daughters, Caryl Boone and Katie Boone; sons, Shane Boone (Michelle), Justin Boone (Amanda) and Joseph Boone; her mother, Julia Spaeth; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister, Susan Spaeth.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Spaeth.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 18 at First Baptist Church in Yoakum, with the Rev. Daniel McFarland officiating. 
Burial will follow at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Floresville City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to First Baptist Church in Yoakum.
