Sharon Brewer Benton was born April 22, 1949 in Houston,She was a happy child with an older brother, Raymond and younger sister, Fayline.Sharon was married to James Collins in 1967. They were married for 18 years and had three children.She married Matt Benton in 1987.

Daniel Louis Jalufka Sr. “Pops” in great sadness his family announces his passing on Thursday, May 30, 2024.Daniel was born Dec. 11, 1941 at home in Lavaca County to Louis Steve and Mathilda Kalisek Jalufka. He grew up with his older sisters and attended school at Vysehrad ISD.

Donald Ray Rothbauer, age 67, of Moulton, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Friday, May 24, 2024.He was born on March 1, 1957 in Shiner to Marvin and Rose Chilek Rothbauer. He attended school in Moulton, excelled in basketball, and graduated in 1975.

Welgene H. Hoffmann, 87, of Shiner, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 4, 2024. A rosary was recited at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 6, with Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, with the Rev. Bryan Heyer officiating.

Robert James Heimann, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at his home in East Bernard, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 16, 1949, in New Braunfels, to the late Frank and Estelle Patek Heimann.

Betty Sestak

Betty Jean Sestak, 81, of Shiner, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024.Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 2 at First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Darin Zumwalt officiating. Burial followed at Shiner Cemetery under the direction of Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home, Yoakum.

Lois Hobbs Bradley

Lois Hobbs Bradley, 80, of Hallettsville, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024.  She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on July 8, 1943, to Roland and Lois Hobbs.  She married Harvey Gene Bradley.She is survived by four sons (one deceased); one daughter, and eight grandchildren.Visitation began at 9 a.

Mildred Matilda Grahmann

Mildred Matilda Grahmann, 95, of Hallettsville, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024.  She was born  0in Hallettsville on April 3, 1929, to Henry and Clara Bengsch Zappe.On Oct. 15, 1948, she married Sylvester J. Grahmann. They were devoted life partners for 66 years until Sylvester’s death in 2015.
