Margaret Ann “Peggy” Mendel, 71, passed away on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024. She was born on Feb. 2, 1952, in Shiner, and was the youngest daughter of Joe F. and Elsie Steffek.

Gene Marie Bohuslav

Gene Marie Bohuslav of Komensky, passed away at the age of 87.  She was born in Lavaca County to Emilie (Janek) and Charles Ben Halata.   She attended her early school years at Moravia School and graduated from Moulton High School in 1955.

Myrtis Gene Scheffler
