YOAKUM: Albert V. Kutac, age 70, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023. He was born April 23, 1953 in Yoakum to Louis and Anna Marie Honc Kutac. He worked in bridge construction and owner of Corner Stop and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a graduate of St. Paul High School.

Ronald “Ronnie” Joseph Juranek, 69, of Kingsville, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, surrounded by his wife, children, and loved ones. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday, July 10 at Shiner Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 11 at Sts.

Sister M. Claudia Klesel, 97, passed away on May 27, 2023. She was born on March 11, 1926, in Schulenburg, to the late Edmund and Annie (Till) Klesel. She was blessed with six sisters and four brothers, one of whom was her twin. Sister Claudia received her elementary education at St.

Dennis Arthur “Pops” Fabry, 76, of Hallettsville, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 from an extended illness.   He was born on May 14, 1947, in Sault St. Marie, Michigan to Arthur and Shirley Fabry   On June 25, 1998 he married Becky Bush He has an honorable discharge for the military.

Lillie Annie Balusek, 92, of Moulton, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.   She was born on Aug. 15, 1930, in Lavaca County, to Joe and Hermina Trcalek Belicek.   She was baptized and confirmed in the Czech Moravian Brethren Church of Vsetin, where she has been a member for her whole life.

Fred William Chovanetz, 76, of Hallettsville, passed away Wednesday,  21, 2023.   He was born on Dec. 10, 1946, in Cuero,  to Fred J. and Anna Belle Buehrig Chovanetz.

Doris Roznovsky

Doris Marie Polasek Roznovsky, 80, of Victoria, formerly of Port Lavaca, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 in Victoria. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 2, immediately followed by reciting of the Rosary at 7 p.m., all at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home in Port Lavaca.

Julius V. Janca, 94, of Hallettsville, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023.  He was born on Feb. 11, 1929, in Lavaca County to Joe Sr. and Pauline (Mozisek) Janca.   On July 24, 1951, he married Geraldine Mertz in Lovington, New Mexico. She passed away Sept. 3, 2018.
