Shiner senior Paeden Vincik will be playing collegiate softball extremely close to the beach. The Lady Comanche catcher signed with junior college program Galveston College recently.

St. Paul football: Temple Christian hands St. Paul 41-20 defeat to end 2023 season

The St. Paul 2023 football season concluded at home in the bi-district round of the TAPPS IV playoffs with a 41-20 loss to Fort Worth Temple Christian. Gus Collins led the Cardinals offensive effort with 148 yards on 26 carries and all of St. Paul’s three touchdowns.

Shiner football: Shiner turns away Freer 40-6 in first round

PLEASANTON — Some injuries and a less-than-ideal performance in the regular-season closer left Shiner knowing they would have to step up in the first round of the playoffs. The Comanches responded in a good way as they passed by Freer 40-6 in the bi-district round at Pleasanton ISD’s Eagle Stadium.

Bulldogs lose to Brahmas to end the season

Lady Bulldogs put forth good effort in regional quarterfinals

Yoakum volleyball will not be making a return trip to the regional tournament this season. The Lady Bulldogs lost to the Poth Piratettes 25-18. 21-25, 25-15, 25-18 Monday night at Seguin ISD’s Goldie Harris Gym.

'Nettes Stymied by GCA

Halloween night proved fatal for Sacred Heart in its TAPPS Division IV area playoff match with Greenville Christian here Tuesday, Oct. 31. The Indianettes won the first set, 25-19, but the Lady Lions took the next three 26-24, 25-22, 25-22.
