EDNA – St. Joseph led Sacred Heart 14-12 in the second quarter before scoring 28 unanswered points to take a 42-12 victory over the Indians Friday night at Cowboy Stadium.

Local sports: SWUT Sept. 6 tournament results

Shiner Women’s United Tennis (SWUT) League hosted the Shiner September Slam UTR tournament at Green-Dickson Park on Sept. 6. UTR is a system to organize level-based play and achieve a UTR rating to track improvement. The well-attended event featured 39 tennis players from across various counties.
