Hallettsville bounced back from its loss to Flatonia with a 3-0 (25-10, 25-14, 25-18) rout of the Brazos Cougarettes here Friday evening.

Apaches score late to take 26-19 win over Brahmas

GONZALES – The Gonzales Apaches scored with only second left in the fourth quarter to defeat the Hallettsville Brahmas, 26-19, Friday night at Apache Stadium.The Brahmas led 19- 18 prior to the Apaches’ winning drive.

WEIMAR – The Weimar Ladycats have been a thorn in the side of the Sacred Heart Indianettes.Weimar swept Sacred Heart 25-14, 25-16 and 25-12 Tuesday, Sept. 2 dropping the Indianettes to 10-15 on the season.

Indians' offense stuck in neutral; Bulldogs win 27-0

The Sacred Heart Indians’ home opener was ruined by Flatonia in a 27-0 Bulldog victory here Friday night.The Indians managed just 139 yards total offense and were shutout in back-to-back games for the first time since 2016.“Our kids are getting better regardless of the score.

St. Paul volleyball: SP defeats YT in three sets

Riley Mozisek got 12 kills, Annabelle Collins had 13 digs, and Skylar Mozisek had 27 assists and 12 digs as St. Paul defeated Yorktown 25-21, 25-19, 25-14 Sept. 2 on the road to improve to 12-9-2.St.

Shiner volleyball: Shiner 3, Rice Consolidated 0

The Lady Comanches volleyball team used the non-district match against Rice Consolidated to work on some new wrinkles. The wrinkles worked as Shiner swept the Lady Raiders 25-9, 25-13, 25-13 on Friday afternoon at home.
