Early voting has started

Early voting in this year’s Hallettsville City mayor’s election began this week.

The City of Hallettsville is the only entity holding an election with a race between incumbent mayor Alice Jo Summers and challenger Gordon G. Clark.

Eligible voters in the city of Hallettsville can vote early through Friday (April 25) as well as Monday and Tuesday (April 28 and 29) of next week.

Early voting hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m with voters being able to cast their ballot at the Lavaca County Annex Building located at 412 N. Texana St. in Hallettsville.

The general election will take place on Saturday, May 3 at the Courthouse Annex with voting hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
