Moulton Election Results

The results are in for the Moulton Independent School Board elections.
For Place 1, challenger Cody Maresh had a total of 214 votes (58%) while Debra Luksovsky received 154 votes (41%). For Place 2, Jill Moore won over Robert Nieto by just 13 votes. Moore had 191 votes (51%) while Nieto had 178 votes (48%).
Running unopposed were Place 3 candidate Elizabeth Smolik and Place 5 candidate Sherry Fishbeck. For Place 6, Jordan Dees received 186 votes (52%). Dees’ opponent, Clifton Miller, had contacted The Moulton Eagle over the last weekend, stating that he was no longer running for the school board. Nevertheless, he received 171 votes (47%).
These results are unofficial until the MISD school board canvases the election.
