    SAN ANTONIO – The Hallettsville Brahma golfers team made history by qualifying for the state tournament for the first time after their performance at the Region IV3A Monday and Tuesday, April 15-16 at Mission de Lago Golf Course.

    The Brahmas finished third after losing a playoff hole to Corpus Christi London.

    Hallettsville shot a team total of 705 - 346 the first day and 359 the second.

    Brady Copley carded an 80-84-164 to lead the Brahmas. Tanner Cliffe shot an 89-85-174, Eli Ferguson 87-92-179, Layne Gerke 90-101-191 and Adam Stock 104-98-202.

    The Brahmas will compete in the state tournament Monday and Tuesday at Grey Rock Golf Club in Austin.
