Brahmas defeat Moulton, S'burg
SCHULENBURG – The Hallettsville Brahmas avenged losses to Schulenburg and Moulton in the Schulenburg Tournament Friday and Saturday.
Brahmas 45, S’burg 38
The Brahmas held on to beat Schulenburg 45- 38 Friday afternoon.
The Brahmas jumped out to a 14-2 lead at the end of the first quarter before Schulenburg rallied to cut the lead to 25-17 at the half. The Brahmas led 39-31 going into the final eight minutes.
Things got dicey in the fourth period when the Brahmas turned the ball over 8 times and the Horns cut the margin to 41-35 prior to clutch free throws by Jack Amsden and Shane Migura.
The Brahmas shot a season-high 39.6% from the field and made 2 of 6 free throws.
The Brahmas had a balanced scoring with no players in double figures.
Chaseton Ford came off the bench to score 8 points.

Brahmas 51, Moulton 37
Jorian Wilson’s double-double led the Brahmas to the victory over Moulton Saturday.
Wilson scored 16 points with 12 rebounds in the win.
The Brahmas led 25-15 at the half.

Hallettsville leapt out to a 9-0 lead at the on set of the game, but did not score again until the 2:49 mark of the second quarter in the game played Thursday.
EB had a 28-16 lead at the half.
Jorian Wilson had 15 points for Hallettsville as did Amari Jones for EB.

Brazos 40, Brahmas 39
The Cougars outscored the Brahmas 13- 10 in the fourth quarter to eke out the win in the Brahmas’ final game of the tournament Saturday.
The Brahmas led 22- 18 at the intermission.
Jorian Wilson had 13 points in defeat for the Brahmas.
