FAYETTEVILLE – Alaina Halata scored a career-high 20 points in the Hallettsville Lady Brahmas’ 64-27 victory over Fayetteville Monday afternoon. Included in Halata’s point total were 4 threepointers. The LB led 19-10 at the first break and lengthened the lead to 36-17 at the half.

Brahma JV wins Weimar tournament

WEIMAR – The Hallettsville JV Maroon went unscathed in winning the Weimar Jr. Varsity Tournament over the weekend. Hallettsville 39, Fayetteville 36 The Brahmas held off the Lions in the fourth period in the win Saturday. The Brahmas led 20-9 at the half.

Apaches 52, Brahmas 48

The Hallettsville Brahmas gave up a 7-point lead in the fourth quarter in a 52-48 loss to Gonzales here Tuesday, December 5. The Brahmas were up 41-34 at the end of three periods before the Apaches came back with a vengeance.

Brahmas beat out for third place

GERONIMO –San Antonio St. Mary’s Hall outscored Hallettsville 22-16 in the fourth quarter to take a 68-60 victory over the Brahmas in the third place game of the Navarro Tournament Saturday afternoon.

East Bernard 57, Brahmas 34

East Bernard’s Maddox Crist had himself a game in leading East Bernard to a 57-34 victory over Hallettsville here Tuesday, November 28. Crist knocked down 25 points with four treys as EB outscored Hallettsville 35-21 in the middle quarters with Crist scoring 19 of the points.

Brahmas win two in AP

ARANSAS PASS – The Hallettsville Brahmas won two games in a good field of teams in the Aransas Pass Tournament over the weekend. The Brahmas (3-5) lost two games by one point and another by two. “We played some good people and gained plenty experience,” coach Brock Gerlich said.

Brahmas defeat S'burg 50-39

The Hallettsville Brahmas pulled away from Schulenburg in the fourth quarter to post a 50-39 victory here Tuesday, November 21. The Brahmas (1-1) led 23-22 at the intermission and increased the lead to 32-28 going into the fourth quarter.

Franklin takes second win in as many years over Brahmas

WALLER – The Hallettsville Brahmas faced a difficult task for the second year in a row in the form of the Franklin Lions in the first round of the Class 3A, Division I playoffs. The Brahmas fell victim to the Lions’ running game in a 50-22 loss at Waller ISD Stadium Friday night.

Brahmas Notch Hoco Win

Homecoming can always be a distraction, but it didn’t seem to bother the Hallettsville Brahmas in a 42-17 victory over Cypress Christian here Friday night. Hallettsville played its “cleanest” game of the season with zero turnovers and just one penalty.

Brahmas in Bounce Back Victory Over CC, 27-7

SAN ANTONIO – The Hallettsville Brahmas righted the ship in a hurry with a 27-7 victory over San Antonio Central Catholic Friday night. The Brahmas gained 402 yards of total offense - 281 rushing and 121 passing, while the defense gave up 244 yards.
