The annual Sacred Heart Parish Spring picnic is Sunday, with all activities taking place at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hallettsville.The traditional meal consisting of country fried chicken, stew, homemade cornbread dressing with all the trimmings will be served in the hall from 10:30 a.m.

St. Joseph’s parish picnic takes place Sunday in Moulton

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moulton will hold its annual parish picnic Sunday, Sept. 18, at the church’s social center complex, located on the church grounds. The celebration begins with 10 a.m. mass inside the newly renovated St.
Deacon Michael Morkovsky helps us display a sampling of the many fine wares in Sunday’s noon auction, including hand stitched quilts, Shiner beer collectibles, antiques, furniture and all sorts of other great items. Head over to the Shiner KC Park, 102 S. Ave. G, for a whole day of fun. See you there!

Even triple digit heat didn't keep people away Sunday when members of St. Mary's Catholic Church near Hallettsville hosted their annual June picnic. There was plenty of food to eat, and plenty of cold drinks to drink, though.
