Shiner and St. Paul cross-country teams ran in the Gonzales Invitational on Saturday. Shiner Varsity Girls The Lady Comanches got fifth place with 127 points. Riley Rainosek was the head of the Lady Comanches pack with ninth place in 13 minutes, 5 seconds. Hayleigh Burns was No.

Shiner football: Brooks, Comanches rout Indians 50-12

Dalton Brooks was a pretty busy guy on offense for Shiner against Ganado Friday in Ganado in the district opener. Brooks ran for 262 yards and four touchdowns, three of which were 50 yards or longer, and caught a 54-yard pass to see Shiner win 50-12.

St. Paul volleyball: Lady Cards drop district match to SH in three games

The St. Paul volleyball team was in the game in every set at some point against Sacred Heart on Thursday. The Lady Cardinals just were unable to make the plays to finish things off as the Indianettes took a 25-15, 25-18, 25-14 sweep at St. Paul High School.

Shiner volleyball: Lady Comanches snap out of haze in sweep of Louise

Following a loss at Fayetteville on Sept. 13 in and nothaving a game on Sept. 16, the Lady Comanches were in a little bit of a lull. Until their district opener Sept. 20 at home to Louise,Shiner rebounded and performed better as they blanked the Lady Hornets 25-13,25-16, 25-9.

Whatever happened to the disc golf course?

It’s one of the questions I’ve heard several times now around Shiner, especially among those which take place at Green Dickson Park: Whatever happened to the disc golf course? For months, I couldn’t have told you, to be honest.
