St. Paul golf: St. Paul girls golf win Silver at state tournament

The St. Paul girls and boys golf team competed in the state tournament at Waco’s Cottonwood Creek Golf Course April 15-16.Lady Cardinals get runner upSt. Paul girls carded a 393 and 381 for 774 and second place.

St. Paul baseball: Flatonia pulls off late rally against SP, 9-7

The Cardinals came in within one inning of getting a win against Flatonia but it was not in the cards.The Bulldogs trailed 6-3 after six innings before scoring six runs in the top of the seventh and holding St. Paul to one run in a 9-7 victory.

St, Paul softball: Indianettes edge St. Paul in 27-run barn burner

St. Paul and Sacred Heart combined for 26 hits and 27 runs in a 14-13 barnburner last Thursday in Hallettsville. Sacred Heart led 2-0 after two frames and St. Paul tied things with two runs in the second inning.The Indianettes then took an 8-2 lead after three innings and St.

Shiner softball: Lady Comanches sweep Marion in doubleheader

The Lady Comanches softball team swept 3A Marion in a non-district doubleheader April 16, 7-1 and 7-0, in MarionShiner 7, Marion 1 (Game 1)Shiner outhit the Lady Bulldogs 9-1 in a 7-1 win in the opener. The Lady Comanches scored three runs in the first frame while Marion got one run.

Shiner track and field: LC place third at regional meet

The Shiner girls and boys track team competed at the regional meet Friday and Saturday in Kingsville.The Lady Comanches scored 63 points to place third in the team standings.The Comanches placed No. 21 with eight points.

Shiner girls golf: Shiner girls golf team to make return trip to state

The Shiner girls golf team will be making their second straight trip to the state meet after placing third at the regional meet April 17-18 at the Lozano Golf Course in Corpus Christi.

Youth sports: Sweet Digs volleyball gets runner up in tournament

The Shiner Sweet Digs 13U volleyball team took second place in the SA Elite Sports Block Party Tournament on Saturday at San Antonio College.
